Obituary for Phillip E. Farren

Phillip E. Farren, 78, fell asleep in the arms of his Savior on February 17, 2016 after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Phillip was born to the late Prescott and Natalene Farren on November 11, 1937 in Columbia, Maine.
Phillip was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend Shalba Jean Mitchell, on July 2, 1959 in Harrington Maine. They were inseparable; you never saw one without the other.
From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them by living out his faith daily.
He was a long standing member, deacon, and elder at the Advent Christian Church in Harrington.
He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate that he is now at peace with his savior.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Shalba ; his sister, Elaine Beal and husband Skip; his sons, Sid and wife, Dianne, Everett and wife, Paula, Phillip II and wife Missy; his daughter Pam Libby and husband, Jeff; his grandchildren April, Mitchell, Tabatha, Charles, Jeffrey, Joseph, Tiffany, Nancy, Heather and Braden; 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sisters; Rosalie, Barbara, Sandra, his brother, Prescott Jr. and parents.
The family would like to thank Sunrise Care Facility and Down East Community Hospital for the outstanding care and compassion they showed to both Phillip and his family.
