I had the pleasure to be stationed at Quoddy Head 65 to 68 with Don. I was from Eastport and it took me awhile to get him to get over that. I learned a lot from him and ended up staying in the Guard and retired in 1985 as officer in charge at Boothbay Harbor. I enjoyed having him as my first OIC and thought about him often over the years.
