Norma Sinclair Wood Ramsdell
East Machias/Machias
Passed away suddenly at her residence, East Point Assisted Living, in Machias Maine on November 26, 2016. She was born April 23, 1935 the daughter of late Katherine McGee Sinclair and Reginald Sinclair.
She worked at Down East Community Hospital on the Medical/surgical floor for many years changing to the er which she later retired from. This was a job that she loved so much.
She is survived by her son Owen and his wife Jane Wood, son Randy and his wife Sharon Wood,
daughter Karla and her husband Bucket Davis, son Kevin and his wife Millie Wood.
Grandsons; Jeremy and wife Michelle Wood, Kevin Wood, Danny Wood, Adam and wife Sharon Davis. Shawn and wife Charlsey Davis. Granddaughters; Jaime Wood, Linda and husband David Smith, Kristy and husband Rob Farnswoth, Jessica Moore and Miranda Heilman.. Two sisters Connie Drongowski and Shirley Rollman. She also is survived by 16 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by both her parents, her husband Howard Ramsdell Sr., one son Eugene Wood, two sisters Marjorie Sinclair and Maxine Lakin and brother Dale Sinclair. One grandson Jason Wood.. One very special friend Perley Lagassee and the father of her children, Arthur Wood Jr.
Norma's family would like to thank the staff at East Point Assisted Living (formerly Davis Estates)
for the wonderful and loving care that she received during the years that she spent there. She also made many good friends among the residents that will surely miss her.
A graveside service will be held 1 pm December 10th at the Trafton Cemetery in Machiasport. A gathering will be held after the service at Elm Street school in East Machias. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.mcclurefamilyfuneral.com
