Doris Noreen Joy, 78, passed away Oct. 21, 2013 at a Machias healthcare facility. She was born in Lubec May 14, 1935 the daughter of the late Eugene and Martha (Farmer) Brown. She attended Lubec Schools. She loved to crochet, and her dogs.
She is survived by her husband Ben Joy ; a son John Corey and his wife Amanda; a granddaughter Kayla Corey , a grandson Morgan Mayers-Corey; a sister Yvonne Bernhard ; eight step-children Sharon Rose , Heidi, Timmy, Wayne, Chester, Gay, and Jeneane ;and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three sons- Robert, Carleton, and Randy ; a brother Dallas Brown, and two sisters Hazel Woodruff, and Maxine Barker.
Funeral Services will be held 1 pm Thursday October 24th at the Ridge Baptist Church, Lubec with Pastor Rob Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Olson Cemetery.
