Obituary for Bonnie Jean Foss (Maker)

MACHIAS – Bonnie Jean (Maker) Foss, 71, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, after a long battle with Scleroderma. She was born April 28, 1951, in Cutler, the daughter of Dewey and Norma (Fitzhenry) Maker. Bonnie was a graduate of Washington Academy, Class of 1969.

Bonnie worked in administration and medical billing throughout her career at the Machias Town Office; Marshall Health Care; and Down East Community Hospital. She also had a love for animals, especially miniature horses. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren in Florida as well as her local family and friends. Bonnie known as “G” by her grandchildren will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Deana and her husband, Paul E. Shave of Florida; mother Norma Maker of Cutler; three sisters, Sherry and Donald Cole of Marshfield, Beverly and Wayne Grant of Whitneyville, and Laurie and David Cline of Cutler; two grandchildren Kristen and Ryan Shave of Florida; nephews Jeremy Maker and family; Steve Cole and family; nieces Cami Cole and family; Kadie Thibodeau and family; and Kari Leighton and family, great nephews, great nieces and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Dewey Maker, and her husband, Clyde Foss
