Gloria Kelley Feeney, 91, born October 26, 1931, left us on Friday, November 11, 2022. Glo was raised on a small dairy farm overlooking Chandler Bay. A strong work ethic was ingrained in her from working on the homestead and she carried this with her throughout her life. Whether it was raking blueberries, laboring in her expansive gardens, or in her nearly 50 years of public service to the town of Jonesport, she did not believe in half measures.
Glo, sometimes also referred to as “Gody,” loved the Bay and remained on its water’s edge for most of her 91 years. During that span, she spent 63 years married to Robert and raised her four children there.
Gloria is survived by her daughters Pam Smith and Wanda Whiteside, son Peter Feeney, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
The family will be holding a small graveside service at the National Veterans Cemetery in the spring. Her ashes will be interred there alongside her husband Robert and son, Kenton.
