Philip L. Grant, 83, died November 7, 2022 at a Machias nursing home. He was born May 4, 1939 in
Fort Fairfield the son of the late Leroy and Donata (Cyr) Grant.
He worked for many years as a painter, painting the interior and exterior of many local homes.He
was a dedicated Yankees fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to Tom's Mini Mart to eat and
socialize. A special thanks to Chris and Sherry Preston and the staff at Tom's for looking after my Dad.
He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Grant ; his partner of 18 years Marilyn (Wood) Eye ; a
brother Clyde Grant; a sister Ida Burtt ; nieces and nephews – William , Stephen, and David Burtt,
Rebecca Widen , Matthew Grant , and Adam Grant.
