Maxine Ruth (Jones) Nugent

Maxine Ruth (Jones) Nugent, 92, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021.  She was born on August
17, 1928, in Trescott to Meredith and Salome (Wright) Jones.

She graduated from Lubec High School and Husson College.  She married Maurice B. Nugent on
7/3/1948.  Maxine and Maurice resided in Meriden Connecticut where they both worked at
International Silver Company.  In 1995 Maxine retired and moved to Longrale Park in Bangor.  Maxine
loved gardening, day trips and spending time with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice; her parents, Meredith and Salome; companion, Alfred
Milbrant; and sister, Dorothy Olson.

She is survived by her nephews and niece, Ernest Olson Jr. of Auburn, Paul Olson and wife Debra of
Lubec, Kim Denbow of Lubec.; great nieces and nephew, Megan Olson of Auburn, Jessica Matthews
of Lubec, Ryan Denbow of Bangor; great-great nephew and niece, Alex Matthews (and daughter,
Harper), Jaelyn Mattews.  She will be saddly missed by special friend, Phillip Tobbin. 
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Olson Cemetery in Lubec
with Pastor Gary Look officiating. Those who wish to remember Maxine in a special way may make
gifts in her memory to a charity of their choice.
