Obituary for Richard Kenneth Bury
Richard Kenneth Bury (June 9, 1949 – June 13, 2021)
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Bury, Jr. and Eloise Cogswell Bury and is survived by his wife, Mary L. (Myers) Bury; his sisters, Carol Williams and Susan Saxton, their spouses, Steve and David; brother-in-law, Bert Myers; his adopted son, Michael L. Bury; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick went to Heaven after a long courageous battle with COPD and congestive heart failure. He was a Christian, Freemason, Stephen Minister, fraternity brother, and lifelong Washington Redskins and Nationals fan. He was also a walking history book and loved to make people smile.
No formal funeral arrangements are being made at this time. Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to the American Heart Association or St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Purcellville, Virginia.
