Jason A. Smith passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2021. He was born on August 30, 1982 in Ellsworth, Maine. Jason was brought up in Cherryfield, Maine. He graduated from high school in 2001. Jason was a hard worker and always provided for his family. Jason cut meat for 15 years. He took great pride in his work as a meat cutter. Jason moved from cutting meat to the ‘Ocean Life’ for the remainder of his life. Jason loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing soccer, spending time with his family, and watching movies. Jason took great pride in his children. Jason loved being a dad to all five of them. Jason has a hard life after his mother passed away when he was twelve. Jason had to grow up to help raise his younger sister. When Jason was a kid, he loved going to Speed Way 95 in Bangor, Maine with his family to watch his uncle race. Jason was a loving, caring, free-spirited, kind person. Jason is predeceased by his mother, Wendy Smith; father, Marcin Anderson of Cherryfield; and grandparents, Gertrude and Barney Smith Sr.
Jason is survived by his sister, Laura Anderson, her significant other, Dave Pinkham; his children, Wendy, Kiara, Jason, Brooklyn, and Paisley Smith; the two mothers of his children, Ashley Urquhart and Melissa Beal; his aunt, Lorraine Parker; his previous inlaws, Sharon and Obed Beal. He has many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jason was close to his cousins, Molly and Ben Perry. Jason will be sadly missed by everyone that cared and loved him dearly. The family takes great comfort in knowing he had been saved and gone home to be with the Lord, his parents, and his son, Liam.
