Obituary for Sheri E Holland

Sheri E. Holland passed away peacefully the morning of May 14th, 2021, with her daughter Larissa by her side.

Sheri, a summer solstice baby, was born on June 21st, 1968, in Rockland, Maine. With a few different moves under her belt, she and her sisters eventually called Jonesboro, Maine home. During her incredibly full life, Sheri worked many different nursing and seasonal labor jobs. Prior to the passing of her husband, Sheri was an unmatched care provider for various public nursing homes & private homes - bringing care to patients who she very much loved. Albeit a different type of nursing, Sheri spent a good portion of the last 15 years running her parent’s dream business - The Greenthumb Greenhouse. Sheri loved nothing more than planting and nurturing flowers and cherished both the days spent laughing in the greenhouses and the incredible friends and memories she found along the way. When Sheri was not working, she could be found taking care of her parents, frequenting Roque Bluffs Beach, having coffee with her friends, and gushing about the accomplishments and humor of her two youngest girls - Hannah and Larissa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Holland; her parents, Claire and Frances Wallace; her sister, Suzanne; her brother, Clayton; her brother-in-laws, Thomas and Karry; her maternal grandparents, Bernard and Grace Young; and her paternal grandparents, Merrill and Elizabeth Wallace.

Those blessed to cherish her memories are truly unquantifiable. Sheri’s light will shine on through her youngest daughters, Hannah & Larissa; her step-daughters, Bobbie Jo and Kelly; her son-in-laws, Allan and Timmy; her many chosen children; her significant other, Ralph Bailey; her grandchildren, Meagan, Jordan, Hailey, Timmy, Alli, Layla, and Sophie; her sisters, Lynn, Kelly, Rhonda, and Bonny; her brothers, Dwight and Wade; her many sister-in-laws which include but are not limited to, Teresa, Joanie, Pattie, Judy, Trudi, Terry, and Darlene; her brother-in-laws, Robert, Timothy, Kevin, Michael, David, and Stephen; her many nieces and nephews who found a home in “Aunt Sheri”; and all of her closest friends and those fortunate to know her.

A celebration of Sheri’s life will be held on Saturday June 19th, 2021. from 1-5 pm at the Lee Pellon Center, Machias
