Kevin Wayne Dorr,53, of Milbridge passed away unexpectedly May 4, 2021 at his home. He was born January 30, 1968 in Ellsworth. He grew up in Cherryfield and attended Cherryfield Grammar School and graduated from Narraguagus High School. Kevin worked many different jobs over the years not staying at one for any length of time before moving on to something new. He was blessed with many talents that all came naturally to him such as Carpentry, Mechanics, Class A truck driver, Heavy Equipment Operator, Blueberry harvester operator and many more. In 1993 he got the opportunity to go to Alaska with his friend ,Roger Mathews, to work for Supreme Alaskan Seafood on a seafood processing boat called “The Excellence” at sea 47 days straight fishing for Pollack. He worked his way through various positions and on his last voyage was one of the engineers. He also worked for RW Mathews, J.R. Wood Trucking, County Concrete, Worcester Wreath/Resources, Cherryfield Trap Mill and the Town of Milbridge. Kevin enjoyed hunting and being in the great outdoors. He was kind hearted and helped others in need. When Kevin needed time to himself he found peace walking on family land in Columbia Falls. Kevin is survived by his parents Roger and Carol Dorr of Cherryfield; partner Melissa Beal and their Daughter Makayla Dorr of Milbridge;a son Cody Dorr and his wife Morgan of Beal’s Island; grandsons Keelan, and Bowen (arriving in July) ; a sister Kim Coffin and husband Fenton of Steuben, nephew Jonathan & Mariah Coffin, Charlotte, Carter & Ava of Steuben, nephew Jaren Coffin and Katie of Steuben; a brother Jeff Dorr and wife Heidi of Hancock. nephew Nevin Dorr and Shi of Cherryfield, nephew Caleb Young and Andrea of Hancock. Graveside services will be held 11 am Saturday May 15, 2021 at Great Hill Cemetery in Columbia Falls. Arrangements by McClure Family Funeral Home.
