Obituary for James E Wilkinson

Jim Wilkinson

Beals

Jim (James Everett) Wilkinson passed away on April 7, 2021. He was born April 2, 1959 on Otis Air Force base on Cape Cod, in Bourne, MA. Jim was the second child of Marlyn MacKenzie Wilkinson and Jay Everett Wilkinson. Jim grew up in Connecticut with his older brother John and younger sister Stephanie.
After high school, Jim joined the Army and was deployed to Korea. He was very fond of Korea. After his time in the Army, he lived in New England, Florida, Alabama, and then eventually settled down in Machias, Maine. Jim spent part of his career as an auto-mechanic, primarily working on the heads of car engines, and spent the rest of his career as a carpenter. Jim could build just about anything: from decks, to kitchen remodeling, to building shelves and furniture, to framing, roofing and finishing houses.
He is survived by his step-mother Ginny (Virginia) Wilkinson; 2 brothers, John Wilkinson and Jeremy Wilkinson; 2 sisters, Stephanie Brewer and her husband William, and Jennifer Cooper and her husband Caleb; 1 niece, Karen Mundi and her husband Steve; 3 nephews Eric Hilgendorf and his wife Dana, Jonathan Hilgendorf and Andrew Hilgendorf; many cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews; his best friend and partner for many years, Sharon Baillargeon, and her son Lawrence, whom Jim loved dearly, and his fiancé Tasha Cushing. Jim was predeceased by his parents Jay and Marlyn; two uncles, Jeffrey and Carl; and his grandparents. Jim was a kind hearted, intelligent man - he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will see you in heaven one day, Jim!
