Arthur Lewis Sweet Jr , 63, passed away peacefully at his home on February 12, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 22, 1957 in Manchester, CT the son of the late Carol (Daniels) and Arthur Sweet Sr.
After school he became a mechanic for Clark Transportation, eventually working his way up to regional manager. He later moved to Lubec, ME to enjoy a slower pace of life where he met his wife and married on June 22, 2001. He is survived by his wife Jaclyn Sweet of Lubec; a sister Norma Stoddard and her husband Randy of East Machias; two daughters- Jasmine Morton-Sweet and her husband Doug of Lebaon,CT and Jessica Sweet of Willimantic,CT; four grandchildren who he adored Brandy, Nolan, Caleb, and Maya.
He had a kind soul and loved nature. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, hiking and camping. He was an avid hunter and recreational fisher ,and also had a passion for cooking. Through his battle with cancer he still continued to enjoy these activities with his wife and fur baby Lila by his side. He kept a positive outlook and made the most of every day. Through his journey he kept a smile and hopes of better days to come, never letting anything get him down. He had a true fighters spirit and will be missed by his family and friends.
At Arthur's request there will be no service at this time. A gathering of family and friends will be held this summer to celebrate his life.
