Jessie Reynolds, 84, passed peacefully on January 1, 2021 surrounded by her family. That night the world lost an amazing, selfless,kind, generous, giving, and loving woman. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a sister, a niece, a cousin, a friend, a confidant, and more.
She enjoyed going to Bingo, playing bunco, and watching either Hallmark, or cooking shows.
She was born August 18, 1936 in Milbridge the daughter of the late Allen and Margaret (Schevenious) Rolfe. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Franklin A. Reynolds; a son William “Billy” Reynolds; grandsons- Billy Joe Reynolds, and Mark Johnson ; a sister Mabel Moore, and brothers- Lyle, Allen, and Steven Rolfe.
She is survived by her children – Franklin D. and Linda Reynolds of Columbia, Amara and Darryl Dorr of Cherryfield, Vanessa Dorr of Auburn, Debra and Dennis Morgan of Addison, and Lynn Reynolds of Milbridge ; Grandchildren- Franklin D. and Tracy Reynolds, David and Robin Reynolds, Kevin and Monica Reynolds, Billy and Amy Houck, Tara Small and Adin Young, Derek and Genene Dorr, Daniel and Beth Dorr, Tabatha and Sarah Dorr, William Corey Reynolds, Nicholas Reynolds, Sabrina Curtis and Phil J. Seavey, Jason and Katie Curtis, Jessica Torrey, James Torrey,Heather Dunphy, and Vaughn Stevenson; Great grandchildren – Brittney Atwater, Emily and John Varnum, Caitlin and Caleb Whittemore, Austin and Danielle Reynolds, Taylor Colbeth, Devae and Damon Reynolds, Dustin and Keanna Reynolds, Billy III and Sydney Houck, Brandon Houck and Ashana, Makayla Small, Bennett Young, Gabreal and Gavyn Perry, Jordyn and Noah Curtis, Mariah and Keagan Torrey, Landen Parsons, Vaughn “LV”, Christopher, Jesse, and Logan Stevenson, Connor, Paige, Mackenzie, and Kyle Dorr; Great-great grandchildren – Michael Houck, Raeleah Atwater, and Lucas Reynolds ; brothers- Frank Rolfe of Woolrich, Harry Rolfe of Milbridge, Ambrose Rolfe of Cherryfield, and Andrew Rolfe of Cherryfield; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, to include a special neighbor and friend Brenda Duggan of Milbridge.
Graveside services will be held 1 pm Friday January 8, 2021 at the Rock Maple Cemetery in Harrington. A procession from her home on the Kansas Road will begin at 12:30, all are welcome to join. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.mcclurefamilyfuneral.com
