Leo Grant Murray, 69, passed away October 19, 2020 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born July 16, 1951 the son of the late Roger and Annie(Quirk) Murray.
He was a graduate of Lubec High School, class of 1970.He worked as a fisherman all of his life, and served as President of the Cobscook Bay Fisherman's Association.
He will be remembered for his musical talent, playing in the Custom Made Country Band, and on Ollie's Kitchen. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the woods.
He was a member of the Ridge Baptist Church in Lubec.
He is survived by loving and lifelong devoted wife Patti Murray ; a son Matthew and wife Krista; a daughter Stacie Murray-Carroll and partner Chris; a step-son Eugene Sylvia and his son Daniel Preston; grandchildren- Zachary, Paige , his musically gifted and brother in Christ ,Landen. Havyn, Alex and wife Tiffany, William and wife Skye; great-grandchildren – Owen,Olivia, Brady, Braelyn, Micah, and Harper ; a brother David Murray and wife Cindy; nephew Jonathan; niece Bethany and husband Ben Tippett;a sister-in-law Kathy (Lyons) Murray; niece Tammy; nephews Richard,Chad, and Wade; many friends including special friends- Bruce Archer, Ollie Blake, Dennis Huckins, David Powell,Roger Quirk,Manley and Brenda Brown,and James Jones.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother RIchard Murray ; paternal grandparents Leo G. and Estella (McClean) Murray and maternal grandparents Thomas and Laura (Kelly) Quirk.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice staff especially Jolene and Nicole for the excellent care they provided.
Graveside services will be held 2pm Saturday October 24th at the Greenfield Cemetery, Lubec with Pastor Antonio Muniz. Please wear masks, and practice social distancing.
