Richard Dale Webber , 77 , left this world on Friday October 9, 2020 to be with his Lord and savior after a long illness. He was born June 17, 1946 in Ellsworth the son of the late Earl and Virginia (Fletcher) Webber. He grew up there for a while until the family relocated to Bar Harbor. The place Richard called home.
At a young age he was hired as a constable for the town of Bar Harbor. He eventually joined the United States Army, serving as a helicopter mechanic. After receiving an honorable discharge he moved back to his hometown, where he worked many jobs trying to find the right fit. He found that in the restaurant business. He taught himself to cook, and over the years of working for various restaurants like the Brick Oven, and Testa's, he became a well known and respected chef. This was his passion, and he continued cooking until he retired.
Richard had a huge love for his family, and was ready to help whenever needed. Richard is survived by his wife of 36 years Teresa (Holland) Webber "The absolute love of his life" ; their two children Nicholas Holland and Nichole Holland and her partner Greg Wallander ; one very special granddaughter Kristen Holland, whom he adored with his whole being; two sisters - Elaine Pinkerton of Lousianna, and Carol Dittman and husband Richard of Florida; a sister-in-law Beverly Lee of Virginia; several brothers, and sisters-in-law on the Holland side; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Plus a group of people Brandon, Breanna, Tyler, Alex, Becca, Stephanie, Abby, Kailie, Kadyn, Gage, and Mya, that were very special to him.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers - Alan, John, and Harry "Sonny" ; nephews -John Lee , Jody Webber and Earl ; special cousins - Teddy Nickerson, Andy Webber, and Andy's son Keith; three brothers-in-law - Billy Holland, Karry Holland Sr., and Milton Anthony; one sister-in-law Donna Harmon Holland; father-in-law John Holland; mother-in-law Ernestine Lund and her husband George.
Graveside services will be held 1pm Saturday October 17, 2020 at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Jonesboro with Pastor Donny Wood officiating.
