Obituary for Phylis "Mimi" Sproul
Phylis “Mimi” Sproul of Cherryfield Maine, passed away peacefully at Northern Light Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth on October 7th, 2020.
Phylis was an active member of her community, a member of the Planning Board, a ballot clerk, laundress for Ambulance Corp, a member of the Cherryfield Academy, and a fire department dispatcher. She loved and supported the Town of Cherryfield.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joe; sister Eleanor; brothers Dana and Robert.
She is survived by her two sons; Joe Sproul and late wife Bonnie; William “Billy” Sproul and wife Lesa. Grandchildren Kristina Sproul of Las Vegas , NV; Maeve Perry of Cherryfield; Joyce Gray and husband Daniel of Cherryfield; Megan Baribeau and husband Scot of North Haven; and Casey Jellison and Loudon of Eastbrook. Great grandchildren Nicole Devine of New York; Jaden Pusey of Cherryfield; Ren, Sophie and Teagan McLaughlin of Cherryfield; and Dane and Rowan Jellison of Eastbrook; Special friend Rita Tenan; and too many nieces, nephews and cousins to mention.
Services will be Monday, October 12th with visiting hour from 2-3pm and services at 3pm at the Baptist Church in Cherryfield. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cherryfield Academy’s Elevator Fund.
