Roy K. Dennison Jr

Wesley

Roy K. Dennison Jr, 89, best known as “Tinker” passed away Friday October 2, 2020 after having a massive heart attack.
He was born August 9, 1931 the son of the late Roy K Sr. and Winona (Ward) Dennison of East Machias, where he grew up helping his parents in their shop making wooden toys. Hence came his nickname as of tinker toys. The business is still going strong, run by his son Bruce; it is now called ROY TOYS. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, and was stationed in Florida. When he came back home he drove the mail truck for a short time, until he started working for the Maine Department of Transportation, a job he held for 44 years until he retired. In his earlier days he was a great hunter, and fisherman.
He met and married Jean Williams of Wesley where they settled down raising their family of two sons, Bruce and Brian. Sadly, Brian drown in a traggic accident at the age 16.
He is survived by his son Bruce and wife Susan; three grandchildren- Cory, Troy, and Joey; nine great-grandchildren Addie Mae, Charlie, Katie, Allie, Brian, Grace, Harper, Emma, and Austin;
His wife Phyllis, and her two children Charlie and Valerie, and their families. He is also survived by his former wife Jean.
