Obituary for Kathryn Kilton

MACHIAS-Kathyrn Kilton, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 17, 2020. She was born in Lubec, Maine, January 26, 1936, the youngest of six children to Harry and Margaret (Searles) Johnson.
She held jobs as manager for the Machias school lunch, head cook at Meals for Me, Jordan Gardens and retired in November 1998 as desk clerk for Machias Motor Inn.
Her love was her family and her dog, Missy. She enjoyed camping, cooking, knitting, crocheting, singing and swimming.
She was a member of the Kennebec Baptist Church, where she was active singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, Bible school and held the office of church clerk several times.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Walter; three brothers, Clifford, Bernard and Gerald; sisters, Madelyn Doble and Gwendolyn Wasson; and her parents. She is survived by a daughter, Wanda and Brian Cates of Cutler; a son, Dana and Tammy Kilton of Sanford, Maine; three grandsons, Jeremy and Charlene Cates, Joshua and Laurie Cates of Cutler, Maine, and Micah Kilton of Sanford; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Ethan, Lucas, Avery and Max of Cutler, and Lennox of Saco, Maine.
