Michael Peter Blanch

Michael Peter Blanch , 44, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 30, 2020 in North Carolina.
He was born March 21, 1976 in Machias the son of Peter and Pamela (Powell) Blanch.
He was known for being the life of any gathering, for his sense of humor, big smile, kindness and love for family, especially his daughter Becca. His happiest days were the ones spent with her; fishing, boating, and traveling.
Michael had a career following the pipeline across the country working as a heavy equipment operator. He loved traveling, and in every town he stayed, he made new life-long friends.
He leaves behind his daughter Becca Jule Blanch ; parents, Peter and Pamela (Powell) Blanch; a brother Sean and wife Jill; Becca's mother and close friend, Kelly Blanch; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Michael suffered from addiction, and we pray that he now is at peace.
If you yourself are struggling from addiction, know that every breath is a fresh start. Know that hundreds of thousands of families who have lost someone to this disease are praying, and rooting for you. It is never too late.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held for family and friends on Saturday September 12th at 1pm at his brother's residence, 27 Pirate's Creek Road, North Lubec,ME.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Arise recovery program by visiting their website at https://www.ariseaddictionrecovery.com/ or by mailing Arise Addiction Recovery, P.O. Box 353, Machias, ME 04654

I will always remember Michael as a kind and caring person who when he was home would come and say hi and ask if there was anything he could do for me. He will be truly missed.

When we think of him we will remember his fun loving nature, his twisted sense of humour, and that smile which lit up everyone’s world. One escapade in particular comes to mind. He advertised in the paper that our fairly new truck was for sale for $500. After many puzzling calls from interested buyers he finally fessed up, again with that smile! Who could be mad ?
Our hearts go out to all of his family. May he Rest In Peace.
