Mark Morrison McCurdy, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday August 15, 2020. He was born May 28, 1957 in Lubec the second of five children born to Eugene and Beverly (Morrison) McCurdy.
Mark, for most of his life, was a Master Electrician. He was passionate about his work and took great pride in doing the job right the first time. When he wasn't out on a job, you could find him helping a friend or family member with electrical jobs. He was known for his compassionate spirit. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #9, Machias.
He was predeceased by his parents, and a special aunt, Margaret Cook. He is survived by his siblings – Jeanne Whitney, Joan Roberts, Tom McCurdy, and Arthur McCurdy; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to family Mark will be missed by many close friends, too many to list. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Legion Post #9, 42 Court Street, Machias Maine 04654.
