Sharon L. (Kane) Tibbetts, 69, passed away unexpectedly August 14, 2020 at a Machias hospital. She was born June 18, 1951 in Jonesport the daughter of the late Richard and Anita (Stevens) Kane.
She was a 1969 graduate of Narraguagus High School, and a 1970 graduate of D'Lor Beautician School. She owned and operated Grammie T's Day Care, and enjoyed working with special needs children at Care and Comfort. She was know for her love of gingerbread men and geese. She was a member of V.F.W. Post #11553 in Harrington , serving as President of the Auxilary in 2015; a member of the D.A.V. Auxilary; State Chairman Gold Star Mothers from 2017-2018; Unorganized Columbia BUNCO Association.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years Joseph Larry Tibbetts; two sons- Joseph James Tibbetts, and Mark Edward Tibbetts; a daughter Tuesday Lee Tibbetts; a brother Kenny Clifford Kane ; a sister Sheila Kane; grandchildren- Gage Corey, Joseph K. Tibbetts, Epiphany Corey, Joey Sprague, Sully Tibbetts, Rhea Tibbetts, Carlie Tibbetts, Elliekay Wamble, Deliah-Knives Wamble, and Roland Wamble ; great-grandchildren – Marcus Tibbetts, Sammy Tibbetts, and Booker Greenwald-Corey.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from noon until time of services at 1pm on Wednesday August 19, 2020 at the Columbia Town Hall. Covid 19 guidelines will be followed with masks and social distancing.
