Obituary for Annette Fecko

Annette Fecko

Harrington

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Annette was born February 13, 1935 in NYC to immigrant parents (John and Lucille Sintich) who came to America seeking a better life. Throughout her life, Annette achieved the American dream. After graduating from Queens College, she worked as a school teacher in Brookville Long Island, NY where she received accolades for her work. After marrying Jack Fecko in 1959, they moved to New Jersey where she raised her three children, had an active community life and volunteered to support children with hearing and speech disorders. Upon retirement, Jack and Annette built a cozy house in Downeast Maine where they celebrated life with their children, six precious grandchildren, and their local community. Annette revelled in the love, experiences, and accomplishments of her extended family. She loved the peace and tranquility of their Maine home and beautiful water views that she enjoyed until her final days. Annette will be remembered for her warm charisma and a smile that was contagious. She had a warm and loving spirit and a way of making people feel heard, loved and cared for - she was always thinking of the other person and never herself.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Steve and Jeff, and daughter Susan.
A fighter until the bitter end, she left this world with grace, love and a warm smile.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her beautiful spirit will live on with each radiant sunset.
Due to these unprecedented times, the family will be holding a celebration of her life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donation in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or to the National Mutliple Sclerosis Society.
