Craig Alan Rumery, 71 ,died February 28, 2020 at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born March 12, 1948 in Framingham ,MA the son of the late Harold and Arlene (Pentheny) Rumery.
Following high school he immediately joined the U.S. Marine Corps and proudly served his country in two tours of VietNam.
He worked for many years as a lobster fisherman, and also as a truck driver, taking his wife Velora all around the country. He alongside his wife also owned and operated Rumery Seafood for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #9 in Machias, Life member of V.F.W. Post #11553 in Harrington, a member of Jonesport Masonic Lodge #188, and a member of Rumery Chapter O.E.S. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR.
He is survived by two brothers ; Terry Rumery and wife Cindy of Milbridge and their children T.J. Rumery, Nikki Look, and Debora Robinson and Clay Rumery and wife Susan of Milbridge and their son Cameron Rumery ; children- Craig Alan Rumery Jr and wife Pamela of NH and their son Carter , Robert Rumery and wife Naomi of NH and their children Robert Jr, Samantha, Logan, and Viviana, Michael “Scotty” McKenna of Milbridge and his children Cain and Abel; Cindi Bilodeau and husband Jeff of NH and thir son Wyatt ,Colby and wife Michelle of Jonesboro, Troy and wife Gay of Beals, Oscar and wife Crystal of Addison,and Harvey and wife Kim of Addison;
grandchildren -Christopher,Frank, Luke, Ashley,Brittany,Josh,Courtney,Stepanie, Alan, Kenneth, and Brandon; 16 great granchildren, and many extended family and friends; and his canine companion “Precious”.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 42 years ,Velora in July of 2019, and a son Raymond.
Graveside services with military honors and masonic services will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Jonesport. A Celebration of his life will be held in Rumery Cove, Milbridge to be announced at a later date.
