James Malcolm Wallace Sr. 86 passed away surrounded by caring and loving nurses and doctor at Calais Regional Hospital January 9, 2020. He was born September 7, 1933 in Lubec Maine son of James O. Wallace and Naomi M. (Mitchell) Wallace. He was a loving husband, father ,and grandfather. He started his military career out during the Korean War as a paratrooper, and ended his career as a temporary Corporal with the United States Army. He was exposed to both hydrogen bombs Mike and King that were being tested. After his honorable discharge from the military he had many jobs including woodsman, sewing machine repairman and salesman, buying and selling seafood, buying and selling wreaths, and helping his wife Sandra run her flower shop. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing with his sons, and gardening with his wife. He is survived buy his children Bruce and partner Linda of Ellsworth, daughter in-law Phyllis of Pembroke, Stephen and wife Sheila of Lubec, Chris and Wife Theresa of Pembroke, Lisa and husband Cody of Palm Coast FL., and Naomi of Pembroke: one sister;17 grandchildren ;9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of sixty years ,Sandra ;a son ; three siblings, and one great granddaughter. Services will be held January 25, 2020 at 1pm at Grace Chapel Church a luncheon is being served after by the kind Grace Chapel family, Leighton Point Road Pembroke ME. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Veterans home. Special thanks to the Calais VA Clinic and Calais Hospital for the wonderful care they provided.
