Lubec and Cutler

William B. Ramsdell 67 passed away peacefully at home September 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 17, 1952 in Cutler, the son of Roland and Yvonne Ramsdell.
He attended school in Cutler and Washington Academy. Following high school he served in the U.S. Army, and then the National Guard.
He worked in the family business Ramsdell Construction and later he and his brother Bickford Ramsdell started their own construction company, North Star Construction.
In 2010 he married Teresa Miller and continued to run the business together after Bickfords passing.He enjoyed salt water fishing and being on the ocean, working with his sawmill, cutting lumber, and working on projects in his workshop. He always looked forward to the yearly vacations to Florida.He was a proud member of Stuart Green Post #65 American Legion in Lubec. Anyone that knew Bill was aware of his generosity, willingness to help anyone he could and his love for his family.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Miller Ramsdell, his children Billie Jo Koenig Wicks and husband David, Jessica Ramsdell and fiancé Rob Dinsmore, Kayla Warren and husband Dan, and William R. K. Ramsdell and partner Paiden Carver. Grandchildren Alexia, Abigail, Blake,Charlotte, Christina, and Amber. Brothers Kenneth Ramsdell, George and Jerry Walker and two sisters Amelia Verburt, and Laura Jane Brown. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Bickford Ramsdell.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday October 4, 2019 at the New Cutler Cemetery with Pastor Scott Porter officiating followed by Military Honors.
