Velora Martha Rumery , 76, passed away July 28, 2019 at a Machias hospital. She was born July 9, 1943 in Beals, the daughter of the late Ossie and Inez (Alley) Beal .
She owned and operated Rumery Seafood for over 30 years, and also had her own ceramic shop. She loved arts and crafts, cooking, and watching the food network. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, and watching the birds on her deck. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star .
She is survived by her husband of 42 years Craig Rumery ; four sons – Colby and wife Michelle of Jonesboro , Troy and wife Gay of Beals, Oscar and wife Crystal of Addison, and Harvey and wife Kim of Addison ; four sisters -Alice Coffin of Bucks Harbor , Marie Victory of Beals , Diana Kelley of Beals, Lizzie Ann Beal of NY; a brother Sonny Beal of Beals; grandchildren -Christopher , Frank , Luke, Ashley, Brittany, Josh, Courtney, Stephanie, Alan, Kennneth, and Brandon ; 16 great-grandchildren , many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son Raymond.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-6 pm on Wednesday July 31,2019 at the Community of Christ Church in Jonesport , where funeral services will be held at 11am the following day Thursday August 1,2019 with Pastor Rich Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport.
