Jere Frances Look, 69 passed away June 10, 2019 at a Bangor hospital after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Irene ; his daughter Martha Brewer; his son Jonathan and wife Lorina ; step-daughter Monique Smith and her husband David; a son Albert Faulkingham;a daughter Ansleigh McCannel; a daughter-in-law Clara Faulkingham; his sisters Joan Brown and Lena Grover and her husband Kenneth ; brother Gene and wife Kathy; grandchildren Ryan , Noelle, Ben, Jonathan, Jamie, Sharlee, Lauren, Erin, and his princess Meghan ; great-grandchildren Phoenix John, Emelia and Kailah; nieces Joanie Fallon , Carol Howard, Jennifer Wood and Jannette McFarland; nephews Charles Brown and Joshua Look, and many cousins.
Everyone who knew Jere understood his passion for music. He started his career at 5 years old by singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in a talent show. He played bass and electic guitar as well as other instruments. He followed in his father's footsteps and played with, and for his family. He played in different bands through the years, to include The Round Sound , Orange River Jazz Band, County Wide, The Islanders, Jiminez and the Lazy J Playboys, Seabreeze, Sundown, County Line, Greystone Farm, and Ram. He also had the opportunity to play with Charlie Daniels.
He loved cooking and gardening. He enjoyed feeding everyone at family gatherings. He loved to see things grow in his garden.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Leona Look ; his daughter Karen Danne; son-in-law Jack Brewer; son Gardner Faulkingham;a grandson James; parents-in-law Percy and Ruth Wood ; a niece Debbie Lewis ; nephew David Kelsey ; and cousins Lottie and Mitchell Geel.
Graveside services will be held 1pm Sunday July 7, 2019 in the Look Cemetery, Jonesboro.
