Cheryl A. (Huntley) Ward passed away in peace, surrounded by loved ones on March 19, 2019. She was born October 25, 1951 in Fall River, MA the daughter of the late Harry and Stella (Desrosiers) Huntley. At a young age Cheryl, her parents, and her older sister Donna moved north to East Machias, ME. Here is where Cheryl called home; it’s where she raised her family and enjoyed the company of many beloved friends. In 1988 she married Pat Ward. Together they shared love, their families, camping, and many hours on the dance floor. Cheryl marched to the beat of her own drum. Her fun spirit was contagious for everyone around her. She was best known for her quick wit, quirky comments, and her love for sweet food (especially Mrs. Dunsters Donuts). She was always up for camping, traveling, and anything that seemed like an adventure. Most of her adventures were shared with the people she loved. She spoke often of her memories from her three trips to Hawaii with her granddaughters, Olivia and Ella, her daughter Amy and son-in-law Brian. Also, for many years she and Pat frequented the Eastport Pirate Festival. This is where she had many laughs and fun times with her step-daughter Dawn and son-in-law Joe, and granddaughter Ashley. No matter where she went she brought a smile. She was an amazing daughter, mother, wife, step-mother, grandmother, and friend.
She had endless fun stories and adventures with everyone.
The family would like to encourage everyone to please attend Cheryl's Celebration of Life at 1pm on Saturday March 30, 2019 at the East Machias Municipal Building to share your stories with us.
