Condolences

Condolence From: P Jim Heyer
Condolence: Sheldon was my best local friend in Lubec. That friendship did come easy. I feel I had to earn it not knowing at the time he sort of took pity on this idiot from away. There are many incidents over the years between 2007 and last October 2018 which I could reference. Won’t do that now. Those who know Sheldon are certain to recognize his respect for a person when you achieve the idiot level of recognition he those he tolerated. Once you achieved the “idiot level “ and were welcome to share a seat in the meeting room aka his warehouse living room you could assume you had been accepted at least I hope that’s the way it was. Too many incredible tomes to share so l’ll quit ths diatribe and pick one of his favorites. Fall of 2007, meeting with Sheldon with my wife at was to become the Water Street Tavren. Sheldon begrudgingly agreed to me us there and tour what we wondered if should purchase building. After the tour I asked Sheldon for his opinion. Those who know Sheldon know he can be a man of few words! His response, no words. He just reached into his pocket, pulled out a pack of matches and handed them to me. Without a word I knew I had achieved the “idiot level “ with Sheldon! Many many folks who have had the privilege of knowing Sheldon know exactly what I am saying. Thank you dear friend for allowing me the privilege of knowing and deeply appreciating you. For All You Do, This Buds For You!
