Condolences

Condolence From: Nancy Manchester
Condolence: Mrs. Dodge, my thoughts and prayers are with you. When I worked at Machias Post Office, Your husband used to come up to the window, with a huge smile. I have missed seeing that smile since retiring last September. May he Rest In Peace. He and Danny are probably up in Heaven talking up a storm! Nancy Manchester

Condolence From: Kathy Hardy and Dana Averill
Condolence: Dana, Collin, Ryan and I are all saddened to hear of Phil's passing. For more than 15 years, we spent a week each summer at Fernwood Cottage. For the first few years, it was just Dana and me - a chance for us to relax and unwind from our busy lives. But once our first son, Collin, was born, it became a full fledged family tradition. In our family, Fernwood Cottage was known as "Mr. Dodge's Camp". And Mr. Dodge was as integral to the experience as the lake, big pines and gas fireplace. Somehow he was always there when you needed him but he never imposed. Phil was the epitome of a gentleman - kind, unassuming, respectful and thoughtful, with a twinkle in his eye and an entertaining story to share. He would do thoughtful things for our kids - bring out a special toy, or point out a interesting bug or animal. We will miss his thoughtfulness and kindness. Our thoughts are with Delores and his whole family.
