Lucy M. Wallace , 88 , Went Home to meet her Heavenly Family on September 30, 2017 at a Jonesport nursing facility. She was born December 8, 1928 on Beals the daughter of the late John F. and Lucy Marie Peabody. She enjoyed working around her home, and along with her husband Lorenzo Sr. they operated a marine worm business for many years. She was also a devoted member of the Jonesport Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Lorenzo Wallace Sr ; a granddaughter Hollie Jo ; and many brother and sisters.
She is survived by a son Lorenzo Jr and his wife Mary Jane ; 3 daughters – Jane Dorr and husband Winston , Peggy Wallace ,and Meda Robinson and her husband Michael ; 6 grandchildren , 14 great grandchildren , and 1 great-great granddaughter ; several nieces, nephews , and cousins; and a special friend “Granny” Obeline Crowley.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-7 pm Tuesday October 3, and from noon until time of Funeral services at 1pm on Wednesday October 4th at the Jonesport Wesleyan Church, Main St Jonesport. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport.
Her family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Sunrise Care Facility for the excellent care she received while there. In lieu of flowers , donations in her memory may be made to the “Activity Fund” at Sunrise Care Facility 11 Ocean St. Jonesport.
