Obituary for Nancy Rae Theriault

Nancy Rae Theriault died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 28th at a Machias Hospital. She was born in Lubec on May 20th 1961, daughter of the late Frank M. Theriault Sr. and Alice L. Theriault. Nancy attended schools in Lubec, graduating from Lubec High School after high school she attend cosmetology school in Lewiston Maine. Returning to Lubec she worked cutting patron’s hair in hers and others homes. Nancy went to work at Campbell’s Grocery in West Lubec and then for Lyons Grocery and later Lyons IGA where she was the manager. Working in the grocery business for nearly 30 years a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Nancy enjoyed berry picking, clamming, fishing, kayaking and working in her gardens and canning the goods that her and Tim harvested. Nancy’s grandchildren were her life and her reason for everything she did.
Nancy is survived by her life partner Tim McCurdy of Lubec. Daughter Crystal Wood and husband Adam of Lubec. Step daughter Kim Arruda of Florida. Siblings Marty Morrison and wife Colleen of Cape Neddick, Judy Bilodeau and husband Paul of East Winthrop, Paul Theriault and wife April of Eastport, Sherry Mitchell and husband Craig of Campobello, Brian Theriault and wife Rhoda of Perry, Frank Theriault Jr. of Trescott and Robert Theriault of Eastport. Grandchildren Kelci Williams, Addison Williams, Aleah Wood all of Lubec and Nicholas Arruda, Noah Arruda of Florida. Several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service Tuesday October 3rd at 1:00pm at the Greenfield Cemetery on County Road Lubec. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Care of Maine at 33 Whiting Hill Rd. #21 Brewer Me. 04412. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.mcclurefamilyfuneral.com.
