Milbridge

Walter Eugene Strout , 65 died August 4, 2017 at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born October 25, 1951 in Machias the third child of Everett Barnard Strout, and Annie B. (Kelley) Strout. He was educated in Milbridge schools, and was a graduate of Narraguagus High School , and Eastern Maine Vocational Technical School. Excepting several years in the construction industry, Walter spent his working life as a commercial fisherman and boat builder. He also served for many years in the National Guard. He was a member, and Past Master of Pleiades Lodge No. 173, and a member of ANAH Shrine, and charter member of its mini car unit.
He is survived by his sons- Joseph Strout of Ft. Lupton,CO , Brian Strout and his wife Sunshine of Milbridge , and Daniel Strout and his fiance Josie Cusano of Southington , CT ; grandchildren Colby and Josie Strout of Denver, CO , and Sullivan Strout of Milbridge ; a sister Rebecca Young and her husband Dennis of Boothbay.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Everett Eugene Strout .
A celebration of his life will be held 3 pm Thursday August 10, 2017 at the Seaworthy Event Center, Main Street Milbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Friends of Nash Island , 259 Mooseneck Road, Addison , ME 04606
