Barbara Jean Bruce, 85, passed away peacefully from this life with family by her side March 15, 2017at a Bangor hospital. She was born October 15, 1931in Machias , the daughter of Forest and Sophie (Hill) Spencer. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw , and crosswords puzzles.
In addition to her parents ,she was predeceased by her husband Donald Bruce; a son Martin David, a granddaughter Elizabeth Ann, three brothers Joseph, Lewis “Peanut”, and Stanley; two sisters- Esther Spencer and Betty Wright.
She is survived by her children Daniel and Rebecca Look, Roger Look and Linda Behan, Gary and Janelle Look, Beverly and Gregory Holst, Peggy Look, Dwight and Norine Look, and daughter-in-law Brenda Look; a brother James Spencer; Grandchildren Martin, Alisa, John, Nicole, Christie, Steven, Billie Jean, Nathan, Jenna, and Johnny; Great grandchildren Rick, James, Hannah, Michael, Unique, Jacob, Thomas, Andrea, Connor, Colin, Mackenzie, Luke, Trenton, and Hunter; Great-great grandchildren Aiden and Elijah; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am until time of funeral services at 11 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at McClure Family Funeral Home, 467 Dublin Street , Machias.
