Warren Austin Foley , 58, Lost his courageous battle to ALS -Lou Gehrig's Disease on November 19, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lubec May 12, 1958 the son of the late Austin and Alice (Kelley) Foley. He was a graduate of Lubec High School class of 1976 and from E.M.V.T.I. class of 1978 with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Warren worked for 33 years in Lubec as a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was dedicated to his community serving on the Downeast EMS, and Lubec Fire Department for over 15 years . He was a member of the Ridge Baptist Church. He had a strong passion for music , and was known all over the state as an excellent musician. “ There wasnt a stranger he ever met “.Through out his illness ,he kept his sense of humor, and never once complained. “You might just as well laugh about it , than cry “ ! he would say. He was a machinist, as well as enjoyed working on electronics. He was a Ham Radio operator KA1NFF, and was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt , fish , go camping , and canoeing.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Brenda (Havens) Foley ; a son Justin and wife Renee ; a sister Sandra and husband Albert ; special nieces “who he considered daughters” Melanie and Bethany; many sister- in-laws, and brother- in -laws; and several nieces , nephews, cousins and friends. “ There wasn't a stranger he ever met “.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother-in-law Ralph Havens ; and close friend Carol Brodie .
Friends may visit with the family from 1pm until time of funeral services at 2pm on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at the Ridge Baptist Curch ,Lubec with Pastor Tony Muniz officiating. Burial will follow in the Split Hill Cemetery, West Lubec. A reception will follow at the West Lubec United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers , donations in his memory may be made to the Ridge Baptist Church, or to the Lubec Fire Department.
