Machias

Wayne Nelson Emery , 75, died unexpectedly April 12, 2105 at his home. He was born Aug. 18, 1939 in Bangor the son of the late Delbert H. and Stella J. (Worcester) Emery.
He was a graduate of Machias Memorial High School, and went on to work for many years driving trucks and operating heavy machinery, building roads, and logging for many area business' to include the Town of Machias , St. Regis ,Champion , and Hanscom Construction. He loved buying and working on old tractors and equipment . He enjoyed hunting , fishing , and his visits out to Tom's eating and talking with the guys.
He is survived by a son Michael Emery and partner Cheryl Hinkson of, MA ; a sister Marilyn Hanscom of Levant; special nieces – Denise Sullivan of Whitneyville , Danette Smith of Bangor , Diane Hanscom of Brewer , and Elaine Brissette of Virginia ; special nephews – Douglas Emery , Donald Emery ,and David Emery all of Jonesboro, and Kent Hanscom of Bangor ; several other great nieces , nephews, and cousins . In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers Delbert and Dale , and a nephew Dennis Emery.
Graveside services in the Longfellow Cemetery will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make donations in his memory may do so to the American Heart Association, Maine Chapter 51 US Route 1,Suite M Scarborough , ME 04074.
