Cherryfield
Hilda M. Nichols , 93 , oldest resident of Cherryfield passed away peacefully at her home March 27, 2018 with her family at her side. She was born July 21, 1924 the fith child of Charles and Lydia (Sinclair) Carter. She was a graduate of Harrington High School class of 1943. She was a school bus driver for 25 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing her own clothes, as well as her daughters. She loved spending time at the cottage on Tunk Lake.She was a member and enjoyed attending church at Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Milbridge.
She is survived by three sons – Daniel, Richard, and Robert , and a daughter Judith Nichols Bradley ; 10 grandchildren , 8 great- grandchildren ; several nieces ,nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Henry O. Nichols Jr a son Kenneth ; an infant daughter Karen ;5 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday March 30, 2018 at the Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Milbridge with Rev. Ambrose Rolfe officiating. Interment will be held later in spring at the Intervale Cemetery, Cherryfield.
