Genevieve Edith (Foss) Congelosi, 94,was born in Machias on March 1st 1923 and went to be with her Lord on March 26th 2017.
She was the daughter of Vivian (Morse) Foss and Calvin Foss. She graduated from Machias Memorial High School in 1940. Genevieve lived many years in Flushing, New York where she worked in many areas including Sunshine Biscuit Company and as a supervisor for Bulova Watch Company. She and her husband of over fifty years, Salvatore Congelosi, moved back to Machias in 1970's and resided in the Kennebec District. She was a faithful member of the Kennebec Baptist Church.
She was a wonderful mother to Frances (Congelosi) Morse and Calvin Congelosi. Grandmother to Jeanine (Mallar) Heald and husband Danny, Christopher Mallar, Evan Ackley and wife Rianne, Cali-Marie (Congelosi) Reing and husband Bryant, and Michael Congelosi and wife Sarah. Great grandmother to Jasmine and partner T.j. Flores, Nicholas, and Tucker Mallar, Jackson and Andrew Ackley, Ella and Vivi Reing and special friend Diana. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Sal, son Calvin Congelosi, and brother Morrill Davis.
She will be remembered as a very kind and loving woman who enjoyed helping others. She will leave a big emptiness in our hearts.
