Ronald “Scoop” McGuire , 77, passed away unexpectedly December 24, 2016. On January 22, 1939 , he was born, and lived his whole life in Cutler, a town he dearly loved . Ronald earned his nickname “Scoop” by always being seen riding in his side by side around the Cutler roads and wharfs . He was often heard saying “ What's the scoop boys ?”
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda McGuire ; three daughters – Terri Beam and husband Danny , Debra Nason and husband Sanford , and Cathy Lajoie and husband Michael ; nine grandchildren – Amanda Sprague and partner Margie Chambers , Heather Sprague and partner Craig Larochelle , Nicole Lajoie , Shawn Lajoie , Andrew Beam and girlfriend Rachel Emerson , Ashley Beam and boyfriend Joe Kilton , Alan Beam and girlfriend Carrie Dinsmore , Sherry Hood and husband Terry Dunlaughy , and Cami Hood ; Seven great grandchildren -Rhyley Beam , Aubree Beam, Troy Hood , Rev. Sprague Larochelle , Silas Lajoie , Bailee Lajoie ,and Nicholas Lajoie .
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the East Stream ATV Riders Club.
