Obituary for Caleb D Lord

Caleb D Lord
Caleb Dane Lord

Caleb Dane Lord, 28, loving father, son, and brother died November 29, 2016. He lost his life, and was taken from his family and a community that loved him, by addiction.
As a small boy, Caleb worked by his father and grandfather’s side learning everything he knew about lobster fishing. He was a hardworking Downeast boy and proud of it. Growing up he loved spending time with his father, 4 wheeling, hanging at the garage with Randy, and anything outside or on the water.
Caleb and his father David had an especially close relationship and on Dec. 19, 2009 his own “special boy” Cameron was born and became his world. Caleb was Cameron’s “superhero” and he would never leave his boy - addiction stole Caleb from his son. Caleb will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving, kind, witty, fun loving, and caring person with a passion for Patriots football.
Caleb is survived by son Cameron and his mother Ashley Bragg. His parents, mother Maureen Lord, and father David Lord and partner Debbie McConnell, brother Dylan and wife Bekah, and their daughters Breah and Charleigh, brother Spencer Lord and fiancée Aisha Saunders and their daughter Rhyker and son Samuel, grandmother Frances Lord, several aunts, uncles, and many special cousins that he loved like brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his daughter Alex and his grandparents Paul Lord, and Joe and Lillian Thompson.
A celebration of Caleb’s life will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Machias Christian Fellowship church at 5 Davis Road, (Kennebec Road), Machias, ME
In memory of Caleb, donations can be made to an education fund for Cameron Bragg-Lord at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, 68 Washington St., Lubec, ME 04652 or ARISE Addiction Recovery,

Caleb struggled with addiction for several years, had reached out, and was ready to accept the help that was available to him. He would want anyone suffering from the same struggle to know there is hope, to seek help and be freed from the chains of addiction.
If you want help with addiction there is hope and help available; one option is ARISE Addiction Recovery - www.ariseaddictionrecovery.com, Paul Trovarello (856-812-7729 or Lindsay Trovarello (207-631-8382)
