Emily L. Wallace , 52, passed away Oct. 22, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family at the Sunrise Care Facility in Jonesport . She was born Nov. 15, 1962 in Jonesport the daughter of the late Minerva E. (Tracy) and Horace H. Peabody Sr.
She attended Jonesport Elementary and graduated from Jonesport-Beals High School . She worked for many years as a CNA at Sunrise Care Facility in Jonesport. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her canine companions ,who she considered her children ; Sadie and Roxy, as well as previous pets Rocky ,Soto, and Zoey.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband Lester “Boopie” Wallace in 1999, and a brother-in-law “Beppy”.
She is survived by a sister Jackie Peabody ; two brothers Horace H. Peabody Jr. and Ronald L. Peabody and his wife Lynnette ; nieces and nephews Robert , Grace , Josh , Sheri , Charles , Chad , Elliott and their families ; a special cousin Meda Robinson ; special friends- June Chandler , Brenda Ireland and her mother Ardis .
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of Sunrise Care Facility especially Lisa Cirone and Shona Mitchell who were her co-workers , her friends , and then her excellent caregivers.
Memorial services will be held 4 pm Thursday Oct. 29, 2015 at the Jonesport Wesleyan Church with Pastor Andy Phillips officiating. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.mcclurefamilyfuneral.com .
