Carol Brodie, 54, born September 22, 1960 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and close friends on August 29, 2015 at Down East Community Hospital.
She was born at the Ada Maloney’s Maternity home, graduated from Lubec High School and worked at the Lubec Apothecary, Lubec Daycare, and her beloved job at Home Health. Carol was best known for her contagious laugh, beautiful smile, love of people, and helping those in need.
Some of her favorite things were spending time at the beach, clamming, cookouts, and time with family and friends. She loved talking to everyone she came into contact with and made new friends everywhere she went. She was truly a treasure.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband Danny, daughter Jennifer and boyfriend Pete Williams and family, one son Brian and girlfriend Kasey Smith. She is survived by her in-laws Brian and Christine Brodie, Sisters in-law Darlene Brodie and Becky Golden, Brother in-law Kevin and Kayla Brodie and family, her siblings Gwen Chiappini and family , James Green and family, Sharon Maddox and family, Paula Hilbrant and family, Judy Mallock and family, beloved cousin Debbie Olson, special friends Brenda and Warren Foley, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carol was predeceased by her parents Paul and Ethelda Green.
We would like to give a special thank you to her primary care physician who went above and beyond for Carol and her family. She became one of my mother’s good friends and it meant everything to us to have someone so caring, Thank you to Bethany Pinkham.
In Lieu of flowers donations in Carol’s memory may be made to a scholarship fund for Lubec students going into the medical field at Bar Harbor Banking and Trust located at 68 Washington Street Lubec, Maine 04652.
Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday September 1, 2015 at the Christian Temple Church , where funeral services will be held the following day at 1:00PM.
