Richard Lewis Jones, 70, died Aug. 18, 2013 at a Machias Hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1943 the son of the late Howard W. and Pauline R. (Maker) Jones . He was a graduate of Randolph High School class of 1960. He went on to work many years as a driller for GZA Drilling. He enjoyed playing horse shoes and shuffleboard. He also had a great love for his Yorkshire Terrier “Chelsea” In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Anne (Francis) Jones, a brother Howard “Howie” Jones, and a step-daughter Maria Francis.
He is survived by a son Howard Jones and wife Christine of Bridgewater ,MA ; a daughter Christine Jones of Taunton , MA ; and a stepson Jason Francis and wife Suzanne of Wrentham,MA ; a sister Diane Black of Federal Way, WA ; a sister-in-law Patricia Jones of Lubec ; special nieces who he loved and adored very much Jessica Jones-Harmon and Jodi Look ; one granddaughter, two step-granddaughters, two step-grandsons; one great-granddaughter, two great grandsons, one step-great grandson, many nieces and nephews, and cousins. Memorial services at the Whiting Village Cemetery will be held at a later. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services Machias and Lubec.
